What it is for
Allocate resources across specialized niches and apply bounded foraging, diversity, recovery, and persistence policies.
An environment tracks niches, specialized populations, resources and evidence; eleven variants share the same revisioned ecological cycle.
PARTIAL · PARTIAL · PERSISTED CYCLESAllocate resources across specialized niches and apply bounded foraging, diversity, recovery, and persistence policies.
Choose Biome when resource pressure, niche yield, local populations, or phase changes matter. The caller or scheduler must invoke each cycle; external workers and providers are not launched by the illustration.
The model uses ecological concepts such as niches, resource allocation, and foraging as software abstractions. The topology is partial and does not establish biological equivalence or improved mission outcomes.
Session cycle and run operations continue persistent state through observations, recruitment, measured results, allocation and regulation, with authorized adapters and independent output verification.
The host must provide admissible observations, execution adapters and a separate global goal verifier. Provider quality and comparative ecological benefit are not established by local tests.
Biome keeps a persisted resource-and-niche model with specialized populations. A caller-invoked variant cycle performs one bounded observation, decision, and transformation; it does not restart itself as a continuous ecological loop.
Aᵢ ≥ 0 ; ΣᵢAᵢ + Rᵣₑₛₑᵣᵥₑ ≤ B ; cycleₜ = verify(act(constrain(propose(observe(Sₜ))))) ; next cycle ← caller
Aᵢ is an allocation to an activity and B is the available budget. This is a model of a bounded variant call, not a self-running loop; worker placement, provider calls, and real effects require separate callers and authorization.
Select a variant to explore steps based on its documented contract. This illustration does not run agents or call runtime services.
Tasks that need budgeted allocation across niche minimums, scarce resources, and a recovery reserve.
The drawing changes with the topology and variant to show their documented structure and policy. It is an explanatory model; maturity labels and runtime limits still apply.
This status follows the maturity of the variant policy in GenOS’ canonical catalog. “Policy implemented” does not certify end-to-end execution: topology maturity, required adapters, permissions, and evidence remain separate runtime conditions. This illustration does not run agents; its selector is manual. In the runtime, mission signals may select a preset automatically when its preconditions are met.
Working slice: Eleven variants share bounded transactional cycles, authorized adapters, measured consumption and independent verification, with SQLite restart tests.
Still open: A global goal requires its own verifier; comparative ecological benefit and real provider quality remain unqualified.
Linked evidence: integration. A policy for a variant does not establish a successful end-to-end mission or comparative performance.
No topology-specific benchmark protocol is linked from this profile.
